German Bight Cable Route Survey

Bibby HydroMap successfully completed a full geophysical and geotechnical programme in the German Bight for regular clients TenneT Offshore GmbH.

The original scope of the project involved 66 vibrocore and CPT stations and more than 700 survey line km. On completion of the work, ahead of schedule, Bibby HydroMap were asked to acquire additional geotechnical samples on an adjacent site. The vessels achieved better than expected results for the known complex geology, and were successful in sampling 14 vibrocore and 21 CPT stations, to a depth of 6m in some areas. Although adverse weather was encountered, this high priority project with additional work scope was completed ahead of the original project deadline.

The company owned Neptune 5000 CPT can be utilised on Bibby Hydromap's custom built vessel's Bibby Athena and Bibby Tethra, or transferred onto various charter vessels.
