Bibby HydroMap charters MV SeaZip Fix

Posted 24 July 2019

Bibby HydroMap are pleased to announce that they have taken the 42m DP1 Ice Class survey vessel SeaZip Fix on charter from Seazip Offshore Service, part of the JR Shipping Group

Rebuilt in 2015, the multi-disciplined vessel will supplement the existing Bibby HydroMap fleet and will commence seismic survey operations on Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II on behalf of Vattenfall during July.  The acoustically quiet vessel is ideal for a range of tasks including geophysical surveys, UXO detection surveys, cable depth of burial surveys, benthic habitat surveys, geotechnical investigations (CPT and VC) and subsea (ROV) inspections.

The SeaZip Fix provides modern accommodation for up to 21 including an air conditioned gym, messroom for up to 10, office and online ROV room and benefits from a strong track record throughout European waters.

Bibby HydroMap CEO Gary Collins comments:

We are delighted to be chartering the SeaZip Fix for the package of work on Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II on behalf of our client Vattenfall and look forward to a successful project.

Seazip Offshore Service, Managing Owner comments:

We are proud to work with Bibby HydroMap on Hollandse Kust Zuid I & II Offshore Wind Farms and to contribute to the Dutch energy transition and working together with an internationally experienced team of people.
