Success at the Wirral Business Awards for Rising Star Emma Lamont

At a glamorous black tie event held at Thornton Manor, Wirral, UK, Wirral Chamber of Commerce announced Bibby HydroMap’s Emma Lamont as the regions Rising Star.

Emma Lamont, a Hydrographic Surveying apprentice with the company and the youngest Category B surveyor in the country, has been awarded the Rising Star Award at the 2016 Wirral Business Awards. Emma recently graduated top of her class with Skilltrade in the Netherlands to become a qualified Hydrographic Surveyor. Since joining the company in 2012, Emma has continued to rise through the company with this award reflecting her hard work and dedication.

The Rising Star award was sponsored by Progress to Excellence Ltd with Chief Executive Damian Burdin presenting the trophy, who said: 

“Emma is a perfect example of how young people can achieve their goals by taking the apprenticeship route to a highly successful career. Presenting her with the Rising Star award gave me an immense amount of pleasure at seeing someone obviously passionate about her job and determined to flourish in what is a highly specialised field.”

Organised by the Wirral Chamber of Commerce, now in its 10th year, the Wirral Business Awards is one of the largest business events in the North West.
