Tethra Update

Posted 6 April 2011

Preparations are now complete for the official naming ceremony and blessing which will take place on Tuesday 12thApril 2011.  The celebrations, arranged by Bibby Maritime, will see guests such as Sir Michael Bibby and family attending the vessel along with many of the Bibby Group Directors and senior staff.  This should be a memorable event with representatives and guests from Osiris Projects, Socarenam and Bureau Mauric all attending a pre-naming dinner hosted by Bibby in Le Touquet on the Monday night. The vessel will take herself off the quayside for dock trials for the very first time on Tuesday 19thApril when the first members of her permanent crew will be joining her.  The vessel is scheduled to undertake a series of tests, including DP, survey and endurance trials before she is handed over to Osiris Projects on Thursday 5thMay, less than a week after the original deadline. The vessel is due to start her operational life on our doorstep, working up here in Liverpool Bay, engaged on a pipeline inspection contract  for one of our Oil & Gas clients.
